WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The cities of Alpine, American Fork, Cedar Hills, Draper, Highland and Lehi are studying the creation of a potential new Central School District. The study is assessing the fiscal impacts of a potential new school district, including start-up costs, capital facilities and staffing. The study is also taking an in-depth look at student enrollment growth and revenue projections from federal, state and local sources. At over 84,000 students, the Alpine School District (ASD) is the largest school district in Utah and is growing fast. The six cities in the proposed new Central School District (CSD) have come together to provide an opportunity for their voters to decide whether to split from ASD.

Public comment on the potential new Central School District will be accepted for a 45-day period from Wednesday, June 19 through Friday, August 2, 2024. Comment below or plan on attending one of the upcoming public hearings listed HERE.
